Amanda Peixoto-Elkins is Brazilian, born and raised in Maceió, and is very proud to say that. However, in the past 20 years, she has also become a California girl. For over a decade, she has had the pleasure of working with some of TV & film's most popular faces. Her work is done almost strictly on location, and her specialty is in creative portraits in beautiful natural settings using her talent for incorporating unexpected backgrounds into exquisite portraits. Amanda has a special ability to immerse herself in people's universe in a very organic way and use this gift to create images that reflect each personality well. She is recognized for her unmatched ability to capture the sincere beauty of today's young stars.
Natural Light Photoshoot... Today's Guest: Annabella Salomone
New episode of my Natural Light Photoshoot series is out! wow, 2 episodes back to back! I'm quite proud of myself! haha
I had the pleasure of working with sweet Annabella, another beautiful Zuri model, for this beach shoot. Ideally, I would have loved to shoot at low tide, but no luck! So we had to get creative! I searched for areas where we wouldn't put ourselves in danger by being too close to the strong waves and adjusted my expectations for some of the outfits I was hoping to shoot.
I ran to Target before the shoot and grabbed the red floatie for some color and the long sleeve textured black top "just in case" and I am so happy that I did! I love that photo! Annabella is so cute and the camera sure loves her! The photos in the white outfit are my favorites tho... I had her go over to that area to try to block some of the crazy wind from her hair, but I also love how perfectly that backdrop works with that outfit. It was awesome to have my sister with me doing the behind the scenes videos for this episode as well. I hope that she and I can continue to work together on these in the future, because I love how well we work together!
Yet again... A little note on being on-camera. I hate it! So incredibly much! It's really hard for me to remember to pause my train of thought while I'm in the middle of shooting to explain what it is that I am doing. But I promise that I am trying to get better!
So I'd love to hear from you on what you'd like to see more in these videos so that I can work on better content for you.

Between Tokina 50mm 1.4 & Tamron SP 35mm 1.4, which one is sharp?
Hi!!! I’ve never used a Tamron lens, so I can’t say for sure. But I hear they are pretty nice! Tokina’s 50mm, as per my personal experience is VERY sharp! I do have a 35mm sigma art lens that I love and is very sharp as well!

hello!! It is so great to get such nice feedback! Natural light is my passion! I love it with all my heart and hope to be able to pass this passion to many more ppl. I just suck at explaining my process and I am not very technical, but I will continue making videos and sharing more in hopes to help the next generation of natural light lovers! - As far as sharing the raw, I can try, some ppl rather have their final image in video, but if you follow me on my instagram, I will for sure share some on my stories! Love that feature on the R6. It’s pretty impressive actually. I’ve always been a fan of the 50mm focal length, and have used Tokina’s 50mm 1.4 since it first came out.
